Resumen / Abstract.
Patriot Hills located at the end of the Ellsworth Mountains, in the interior of West Antarctica. It is a small hill about 400m aboce the ice/snow surface and 8km long, with the highest summit of 1246 m.a.s.l. More than a thousand kilometers separates Patriot Hills from the nearest open southern ocean areas.
